Women plough the way to peace in South Sudan resettlement project

Additional peacekeepers have been deployed to Leer county, South Sudan, following a surge of violence, including rapes, gang rapes, beheadings, burning civilians alive, and attacks on humanitarians, the UN Mission in the country, UNMISS, reported on Monday. 

A peacekeeper is in stable condition a day after being shot during an attempted ambush on a UN convoy in South Sudan, the UN Mission in the country, UNMISS, and the World Food Programme (WFP) reported on Tuesday.
