UN Youth Forum focuses on sustainable future for all

If the world really wants to step back from the brink, it had better “walk the walk” towards a more sustainable future for all, young speakers said on Tuesday, as thousands of their counterparts from across the world gathered, in person and online, for the opening of the annual Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum at UN Headquarters in New York.

A new exhibition highlighting the crucial role millets play in boosting global food and nutrition security, adapting to agrarian risks posed by climate change, and contributing to progress on the sustainable development goals (SDGs) agenda, opened on Tuesday at UN Headquarters in New York.

The United Nations this evening turned off the lights at its iconic Headquarters in New York as well as at other facilities around the world in observance of “Earth Hour” – a global event highlighting the need for climate action and sustainable energy consumption.
