After three years, the TFP Forum is finally back!

The aim of the Forum is to discuss key challenges the industry faces, especially in light of the aftermath of the pandemic and the impact of the war on Ukraine, including the food security crisis, digitalisation of trade finance and the role of trade finance in the development of a more sustainable and green world. We will also look at new opportunities in trade finance in the EBRD’s regions of operations and beyond, and provide an excellent networking opportunity.

As sustainability gains influence, it is shaking up the status quo by driving transformation in companies, supply chains and markets. But these transformations are not universally appreciated or accepted. Some stakeholders with vested business and political interests oppose changes initiated by companies embracing sustainability in the United States and beyond. As a result, specific commitments from companies to reduce their environmental footprint, address inequalities and revisit approaches to profit-making have been subject to criticism

Since 2008, the annual Private Sector Forum (PSF) has gathered global leaders at the United Nations during UN General Assembly week to address major global issues such as climate change, sustainable development and human rights. This year, the Forum will be held as a high-level forum.

The GSSD Expo 2022 will be co-hosted by the Government of Thailand and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and is scheduled to take place from 12 to 14 September, 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.
