UN’s rights chief says horrified by Sudan escalation as famine draws nearer

The top UN official in Libya has delivered a stern message urging other nations to stop intervening in the country’s ongoing crisis. 

Attacks on buildings in Gaza where terrified civilians are sheltering are “abhorrent and must stop immediately”, a top UN humanitarian official insisted on Thursday following a direct hit on a United Nations training centre.

The UN’s top rights official said on Monday that amidst a “profound crisis” facing access to basic human rights in Myanmar following the coup in February last year, hundreds of localized armed resistance groups have now formed across the country, triggering “widespread violence in areas that were previously stable”.
